Richard M Nott - Artist Statement

​

I have enjoyed drawing and painting from an early age. Although I attended art classes while studying at College I am largely self taught. While living in London a high-light each year was to attend the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. After several years away from painting due to Business and other commitments I am very pleased to have landscape painting as a large part of my life again.  

 

Following my travels in the USA, Canada and Northern Europe I have a great love of mountains, lakes and wild scenery. Painting with oils on canvas I try to capture the look and feel of these awesome locations.
